This looks like the launch of a new mystery series, The Raven League. Wiggins was one of the members of the Baker Street Irregulars--the group of street urchins that Sherlock Holmes employed to be his eyes and ears around London. But when his friend Tim Doolan dies while on a lookout mission with Wiggins, the group is broken up. But Dooley, Tim's younger brother, is determined to try and find out what happened to his brother with or without Wiggins' help, and when he spies two thugs carrying what looks like a body and picks up a familiar deerstalker hat, Dooley comes to the conclusion Sherlock Holmes has been kidnapped! Wiggins, along with a girl named Jennie and another boy named Owens, join forces to unravel the mystery of Holmes' disappearance and uncover a threat to no one less than Queen Victoria herself! Can they rescue Sherlock Holmes and save the Queen? This fast-moving plot twists and turns down London's dark streets and will keep readers engaged until its breathless conclusion. A good first entry for a new series.
