Bauer follows up her story The Blue Ghost with another easy to read spooky tale. Jenna finds an old-fashioned doll at her elderly neighbor's garage sale and decides to get it for her little sister Quinn's birthday gift. But as Jenna and her best friend Dallas wrap the doll, Jenna starts to get a weird feeling about it. Then her cat Rocco hisses and spits at the wrapped doll. And when Jenna puts it in her closet to hide it from Quinn, she thinks she hears it moving and even crying at night. Is she hearing things? Or is there really something odd about that doll? And what can Jenna even do about it? An eerie short story about ghosts that will cause kids to happily shiver when they contemplate their own dolls and action figures.
